Pedestrians are always at risk on the roads, and they’re among those most likely to be killed if they are hit. For pedestrians to stay as safe as possible, it’s the responsibility of drivers to pay attention and slow down when pedestrians are near.
In Trenton, New Jersey, a pedestrian was hit and injured in a crash near Franklin and Liberty Streets. The woman, who was near the roadway, was struck at approximately 5:30 p.m.
A witness at the scene quickly came to the woman’s aid. He told reporters that she was conscious after being hit and was asking for help. He called for emergency help and stayed with the victim until the ambulance arrived. As of the Aug. 5 report, it was unclear what condition the woman was in or if the driver would be charged for striking her.
After any kind of pedestrian accident, it’s important for the driver and witnesses to stay at the scene.
