3 killed in tragic DWI crash

On Behalf of | Feb 22, 2019 | Personal Injury

It’s hard to imagine your loved ones suddenly losing their lives due to the impact of a drunk driver, but it happens to many people every year. Take, for example, the victims’ families in this case from Wayne, New Jersey.

In their case, a driver was intoxicated when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Camaro that contained a father and son. The 29-year-old man’s vehicle also collided with a Nissan Rogue, and debris went on to damage multiple other vehicles.

As a result of the collisions, there were three victims, a 23-year-old man, the 50-year-old father and his 17-year-old son. At the time, the 17-year-old male and his father were traveling to the Department of Motor Vehicles to take the teen’s driver’s license test.

The intoxicated driver survived the incident, but sources state that he was given Narcan on the way to the hospital. This suggested that he was overdosing or had overdosed on opiates prior to the collision. He will be charged for the collision and the three deaths that resulted.

Crashes like this are an absolute tragedy. Multiple people lost their lives while the driver who caused the crash was able to live. Families are often angered by situations like this, and it’s fair to say that they deserve to be treated fairly and get justice for the driver’s actions.

If you are in a collision like this one, remember that you can protect your rights. You deserve to be treated fairly and to pursue compensation for the loss of your loved one and other damages.
